Emergency services
Witbos Veterinary Clinic offers an all hours emergency referral facility for veterinarians and an ambulatory field emergency service to horses within our local practice radius.Referrals are accepted from all parts of South Africa. All medical and surgical emergencies are catered for, including colics, orthopaedic cases and foals.
Patients are treated in an efficient and compassionate manner. Costs and prognosis are discussed with the owner and, when ready, the patient is sent back to the referring veterinarian for follow up treatment.
Emergencies in our local radius are treated in their own stable yard where possible. Cases needing surgery, intensive care or special facilities are transferred to our hospital.
We take a pragmatic approach and only perform surgery when absolutely necessary.
